According to an article in Time magazine by Adam Cohen he ask is drug testing welfare
unconstitutional?
First of all it is due to search laws, but on top of that this is just a reason to cut
the poor and leave the welfare to the oil company's in place.
In Florida they gave this a try. Out of 40 applicants only 2 failed and one is on appeal.
The state saved $240.00 dollars. However, the price of the test, plus the price of lawyers
and court cost for appeal is almost $2000.00.
The bottom line is addiction is addiction. It doesn't care if you are rich, poor, black, or white.
Drug dealers don't get rich from poor addicts. the majority of their business is upper
middle class to rich. I've been in the Navy and halfway around the world and I know far
more rich drug addicts compared to poor. About 3 to 1.
Don't take from the poor while the banks and Wall Street gets bailouts. I know if I
pulled a scheme of placing bets against my own stock and real estate that caused the
banking crisis I would be hung in a public square.
After all this people still believe the Republicans and the Tea Party have your interest
in mind?
